Welcome to my website! My name is Paula and I have been fascinated in anything miniature from a young age.

I have fond memories of my Nan taking my Sister and I to visit a front garden in her street in the 1970’s which had a model village in it. It was in Kynaston Road in Didcot, Oxfordshire and I remember her having to lift me up to see over the hedge! I wish I had a picture of it to share.

I have always had a fascination for anything tiny and was quite upset when I was ‘too old’ for my dolls house. Then, in my 20’s, Del Prado brought out a magazine with weekly pieces to build your own dolls house, I was so excited! Back then in the 90’s not many of us had internet so this was a revelation to me that there was an adult world of collecting miniatures!

Years later I was lucky enough to be gifted a Dolls House Emporium Springwood Cottage with basement by a dear friend which is my main dolls ‘House.’

I have worked in Early Years for 36 years and recently decided to start a new project. It’s a kit which is the ’Radcliff Double Shop’ by Dolls House Direct. I am turning it into a Nursery School, complete with Early Years playroom, baby room, cloakroom, sensory room, staffroom with kitchen and office. When I researched Nursery products in miniature I struggled to find many items so decided to make them myself. I have always enjoyed crafting and so far am loving every minute of it!

This was my first ever dolls house as a child. I still have it in the loft, its not as new as the one in this picture, mine’s ‘well loved!’
